At Hatfield Cosmetic & Family Dentist, we are pleased to provide both full and partial dentures in Greer, South Carolina, as a way to restore your missing teeth.
Partials
A partial denture is a denture that replaces only a few teeth and attaches to your remaining natural teeth for stability. Partials are similar to bridges, but they are removable. For your convenience, Dr. LeeAnn Hatfield offers cast metal partials, flexible metal free partials, and immediate partials that allow us to place the denture on the same day a tooth is extracted.
Full Set
Dentures are a non-permanent tooth replacement option that can be removed from your mouth. Although dentures are the least stable of all tooth replacement options, today’s dentures can provide natural-looking and comfortable restorations.
Our accomplished dentist, Dr. LeeAnn Hatfield, offers customized dentures made from impressions of your oral structures. We provide the following types of dentures:
- Conventional Full Denture: A conventional full denture is placed in your mouth after any remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed. Because the healing process takes time, this procedure requires you to be without teeth for several months.
- Immediate Full Denture: Unlike the conventional dentures, patients who opt for immediate dentures never have to be without teeth. Our dentist will take measurements and models of your oral structures prior to removing teeth, which means that dentures can be crafted and inserted immediately after tooth extraction. Immediate dentures, however, require multiple appointments to reline the dentures until the gums have healed. This is because the bones shift as they heal after tooth extraction. This shifting often causes dentures to become loose.
